There is now legislation in place by the French authorities on the requirement for coach companies to ensure that the passengers they transport have valid travel documentation including visas where required.
Fines will be imposed on coach companies where passengers are without valid travel documentation or visa, up to the amount of €10000 per refused passenger. The fine will be imposed on the driver/company via a court order or the driver maybe arrested in Calais. For further information including requirements, please visit france-visas.gouv.fr.
