We are delighted to offer some waivers or discounts on published fares. Discounts cannot be combined with other discounts, and must be claimed pre-travel, as it cannot be applied once the booking is checked in.
Discounts linked to Disability Organisations: A percentage discount on the booked fare (excluding fees) is available to members of the following organisations:
- Ireland: AsIAm, the Disabled Drivers Association (DDA) and the Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA).
- Britain: members of the disability alliance group Disabled Motoring UK (previously known as Mobilise) can receive discounts on Irish Sea and Dover to Calais routes.
To access these discounts, just book your ferry journey through the Irish Ferries website, then email Irish Ferries at disabilityofficer@irishferries.com and share the booking reference number and supporting evidence (Ireland: membership ID, and Britain: membership number and DMUK promo code). Once approved, the discount will then be applied by processing a refund to the card used for the booking. Please allow 2 business days for requests to be processed (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).
Fare waivers for persons with a disability:
- Carer Passenger Fare Waiver: We are happy to waive the passenger fee (excluding fees) for an identified carer travelling with a person with a disability, where the passenger with the disability requires the assistance to travel safely. The carer simply needs to provide evidence when requesting the waiver of their carer status.
- Guide Dog charge Waiver: on our Dover to Calais route, there is a charge of £15 each way for the carriage of pets/dogs. This charge will, however, be waived for registered guide dogs.
